NOTIFICATION OF AMENDMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL AUTHORISATION FOR THE PROPOSED CONSTRUCTION OF KLEIN ZWART BAST SOLAR POWER PROJECT NEAR KENHARDT IN THE NORTHERN CAPE PROVINCE – DEA REF: 12/12/20/2098/2
Sevenstones 159 (Pty) Ltd submitted an application for Environmental Authorisation (EA) to the Department of Environmental Affairs (DEA) for the construction of Klein Zwart Bast Solar Power Project near Kenhardt in the Northern Cape Province, on 2 September 2011 as amended (DEA Ref: 12/12/20/2098/2).
An application to amend the EA was submitted in January 2019 which requested to amend the contact details of the Holder of the EA.
The applicant hereby notifies all registered interested and affected parties, as instructed by the decision issued by the DEA on 11 February 2019, and in terms of Regulation 4(2) of the Environmental Impact Assessment Regulations, 2014, as amended, of the outcome of the application for amendment. The DEA granted the amendment of the EA for the above-mentioned project.

NOTICE OF APPEAL PROCESS
As a registered interested and affected party, your attention is drawn to Chapter 2, Regulation 4(2) of Government Notice No. 993, which prescribes the appeal procedure to be followed. Should you wish to appeal the decision, or any part of the decision, by the DEA, you must submit an appeal to the appeal administrator, and a copy of the appeal to the applicant, any registered interested and affected party and organ of state with interest in the matter within 20 days from the date that the notification of the decision was sent to registered interested and affected parties by the applicant (i.e. 11 March 2019).
